Hydrochromic printing

Hydrochromic printing allows you to refine the design in such a way that transparent graphic elements reveal hidden content only when exposed to water. The print is refined by screen printing, which allows for precise and uniform application of ink on various surfaces. The process of color change can be reversible – after the water dries, the paint returns to its original, opaque state. This property makes hydrochromic printing ideal for applications that require a temporary change in visibility.

In the case of irreversible hydrochromic printing, contact with water causes permanent color change or complete removal of ink from the surface. Hydrochromic printing can also be used for copy protection, e.g. packaging and product labels. This type of printing also allows you to create a dyeing version, in which the surface permanently changes color after contact with water. This technology is used in security printing. The effect of permanent colouring under the influence of water can perform a verification function on documents, labels or packaging and protect against counterfeiting attempts.
