Chemochromy – Chemical Responsive Protections
Chemochromic paints change color when exposed to a specific chemical. This solution is used in situations where the authenticity of a document can be verified by applying an appropriate reactant that will reveal the security.
Microtexts and multi-layered effects
In addition to advanced inks, we can also use the technology of printing microtexts, which are almost impossible to read without a magnifying glass or microscope. In addition, multi-layered effects, such as optical or holographic prints, are another barrier for potential counterfeiters.
Application of chemochromic protections
This type of security can be used on the packaging of medicines or, for example, chemicals, as well as on documents such as certificates. Importantly, in the case of this type of protection, it is possible to adjust the color of the reaction and the type of chemical that causes it. Any attempt to remove the protection, for example by using bleach, will be immediately visible.
